July 7-8, 2012
The people of South Sudan won their freedom from the North in July 2011 and young leaders began working to ensure their gains were permanent. American Epiphany™ in coordination with Southern Sudan Project (SSP is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit to improve life in Sudan) developed and presented what is known as a Fieldman School, a comprehensive weekend workshop to train SSP’s regional representatives from across the US in grassroots political organization, campaign management and communication. Recognized experts in these fields were brought in to focus on developing skills to help SSP raise US awareness of the desperate situation in Sudan, organize and raise funds for improvement projects in South Sudan, promote democracy and recruit freedom-loving, incorruptible candidates for South Sudan’s upcoming elections. American Epiphany™ underwrote workshop at cost of $4500.00.
Enthusiasm was high all weekend and leaders marveled at how well the group worked together.
